Is babble actually a word? Anyway, this is it...
1. Work is already back to normal this week. I can't believe how SLOW I was last week. I have clients every day this week! And I think I made a new client today. Yippee!
2. I'm really digging this show on the History Channel, Gangland. I caught it a while back, but we didn't have DVR and I didn't know when to look for it. I DVR'd a 4episode marathon the other night. It's a show about... gangs, hence the name Gangland. I love these sociological documentaries... this one features a different gang each time, talks about their members, their history, interviews law enforcement and current and former gang members. I find it fascinating.
3. I need to find a meeting group for sugar addicts. Sugar is my drug of choice. I need to stop, before I turn into a cake. Or a large slab of chocolate.
4. I don't know what in the hell is going on along I-35, but I'm so over road construction in Norman. They've always got something going on. I could avoid the crap on 36th and Main, but I can't avoid I-35. It's ridiculous.

I'm gonna babble about a whole lot of nothin'...
These are my thoughts right now...
1. Good Will Hunting is on television. I forgot how much I LOVE this movie. It's one of the few movies I had to go see at the theater twice. However, it's on Bravo, so it's edited and with commercials, so I'll have to pop in the DVD some other time.
2. Chairlift is coming to Norman. They are playing at the Opolis on Wed March 18. Their song "Bruises" is/was featured on an Ipod commercial. I found them when listening to a radio podcast on Itunes. If you are friends with me on Myspace, their song "Planet Health" is at the top of my playlist. Give it a listen. I love 'em!
3. I got a late Christmas present the other day from my step-grandmother. She gave me and Clint tickets to go see the Lion King when it comes to the Civic Center in May. I'm excited, probably more so than the boyfriend. She also gave me a big bag of Christmas flavored Ghiradelli chocolates, which I'm happily consuming.
4. I got my taxes done today, and I feel much better, getting that out of the way. I'm all set up to pay quarterly next year, and on a payment plan for '08. That's what I get for not putting any back this past year.
5. I was so incredibly excited about the Oscars this year. Some years I am, other years I don't really get into it. I thought this was a great year for the show! Hugh Jackman was a great host, Ben Stiller CRACKED ME UP when he walked out like Joaquin Phoenix, I loved the Pineapple Express bit with hottie James Franco and Seth Rogen, and I was quite pleased with most of the winners. Of course I was stoked about my girl Kate... who looked absolutely stunning, but I was rooting for Sean Penn or Mickey Rourke to win best actor. Hooray for you, Sean Penn! I can't wait until more of these movies come out on DVD. I've got 'em all saved in my Netflix queue. I should expect Vicky Christina Barcelona in the mail tomorrow.
6. I just finished season one of Samantha Who? Super cute show, easy watch. Christina Applegate is just too cute. And hello, Barry Watson. I had such a big crush on him when he was on 7th Heaven. I think he's actually cuter, now that he's gotten a little older. Next on the TV series list is Californication.
So readers, here's what you can tell me... what TV shows would you recommend, new or old? Now that I have Netflix, I can catch up on stuff I couldn't keep up with before we had DVR. If I haven't seen it already, I'll add it to my list.

Here I am!
I've not blogged in a while, and I was totally called out for it this morning! I'm still here! I haven't felt like myself lately, I've been in a major funk, but I'll snap out of it soon. I've had the slowest week of work I have EVER had, in the year and three months I've been at my place, I've never had such a SLOW week. Terrible.
On a positive note, since I didn't have any clients yesterday, and the boy was off from work, we got to just lounge around and watch movies all day for his birthday. We watched Spiral, The Changeling, and Burn After Reading. Then I watched Made of Honor(I was on my own for that one). It was cute, but I didn't LOVE it, love it. Since I have no clients again tomorrow, I'm going with Clint and his family for his b-day dinner. No idea where we are going... Clint doesn't get too excited about eating out like I do. I also need to pick up the cake for Sunday, and I can't wait to dig into that thing. Sunday we're having my family over for a little b-day get together. My mom's b-day and my g-ma's b-day are also in late Feb, so it's gonna be a birthday shindig. Sunday night... the Oscars...I'm really pretty excited about it this year. I don't know why. I'm really rooting for Kate Winslet to win an award. I love that girl. Then Monday, I'm driving to Midwest City to get my taxes done. If I have time after that, I'm going to go by Daisy Exchange and sell some clothes I had previously put in a garage sale box.
Please wish me luck! I need all the positive energy I can get, to make it through the weekend without having a mini-meltdown.
And right now my allergies are kicking in. Ugh.

Today's blog is brought to you by the letter B.
Today I'm playing the alphabet game. I've been tagged by my friend T to blog about my Top Ten Things That Start With the Letter B. Sounds fun, but perhaps a bit challenging. I was secretly hoping for an easy letter, like S or T. But when I was offered B, the first thing I thought of was bananas... ugh, I hate bananas. Well, here it goes, in no particular order.
1. The BEACH. That was pretty easy. I would love to be able to go to the beach every year. I didn't go at all in 2008, so I must change that for 2009. Right before I moved back from Knoxville, I drove to Myrtle Beach and spent a few nights in a condo on the beach by myself. It was awesome, even though I was rained out the second day. Maybe if I fly to Nashville this spring or summer, I'll rent a car and drive to the beach again. This was my view from the condo.

2. Blue Moon BEER. My favorite beer! Garnished with an orange slice! Yummy! It's a little hard to find when I go out around Norman or OKC, but when I find it, that's what I'm drinking.

3. My BACK porch. I can't wait until the mornings are warm enough and not windy, so I can sit outside with my morning coffee, and a book. I can't wait to get a grill set up, get some tiki torches to chase away the bugs, get the patio furniture set up. I love our back porch. If we had a hot tub, I would love our back porch year round, but as it stands, I only like it when it's nice outside.
4. BUBBLE BATHS. When I actually treat myself to one, I love it. If I'm stressed out, nothing relaxes me like a class of Cab Sav, a couple candles, and a warm bubble bath. I've only taken three since we've moved in our house, so that just confirms the fact... I need to treat myself more often.
5. BEDTIME. I love taking the time to get ready for bed. I love washing my face, brushing my teeth, walking around in my slippers, finding something to watch on TV or reading a book. I used to fix myself decaf herbal or green tea, but I haven't done it in a while. I love sleep, so I guess it's natural that I love preparing for it.
6. The BEATLES. I haven't always been a Beatles fan. I actually started really listening to them back in 2005, and I fell in love with their music. That year, I got a ton of Beatles CD's from my family for Christmas. It's funny, I honestly don't know why I didn't give them a chance before then... I love music.
7. BEST FRIENDS. Who doesn't love their best friends? I would be lost and lonely without them. Who else can listen to you bitch about the most ridiculous stuff, and not argue back, or make you feel silly because deep down even you know you're being silly. Girls totally get the mood swings, rants about boyfriends, and how I never have anything to wear. My girls will always understand why I'm holding on to my Via Spiga shoes that are a half size to small and ten years old.

8. BOOK STORES. There's nothing like having enough time in your day to truly enjoy the book store experience. I don't care if it's a nifty little place like Full Circle, or a big chain store like Barnes & Noble... I love getting a cup of coffee, and taking my time to browse all the rows of books. I like libraries too, but now that they have computers inside, they're not as quiet as they used to be. And you can't buy a latte at the library.
9. BLACK. My favorite color to wear. You can never have to much black in your closet. End of story.
10. BLOGGING. I don't know why. It's not as if my blog entries are filled with deep meaning or interesting thoughts. I'm not discovering the meaning of life with my day to day observations. I just enjoy reading what other people have to say... about their lives, their children, their family and friends, their tastes. Sometimes I feel as though I know my blogger friends better than I know people I see every day, and that's kind of cool. I'm getting to know people I should've known in high school, people I've only met in person one time, people I've never met before, and people I already know pretty well, I just don't see as often as I'd like. I can keep up with friends that are far away, and hear all about their experiences across the US or across the country. I love it all.
11. BOYFRIEND. I'm adding an extra, because this one is my favorite! He's very patient with my antics, and he makes me laugh. I love him!

This started off a little difficult, but I just thought of another one. I love BURRITOS. Yummy! I think I'll have one for lunch.
If anyone wants to keep this going, message me for a letter. I promise not to give you a Q,X or Z. Unless you really want it. Peace out, peeps.

Movies... and books... and news, oh my!
These are my thoughts right now.
1. We got Netflix. I'm pumped! Actually, the boyfriend got Netflix, and added me to his account. So it works like this... we're on the three movie plan. He gets two movies, I get one... we have separate accounts on the computer, so he can pick whatever he wants, and I can add whatever I want to my list. We do have to confer occasionally, to make sure we don't pick the same movies, but those chances are pretty low. I don't predict he'll put Made of Honor or any foreign film on his list, and he can be fairly certain I won't pick some sci-fi/horror/fantasy movie on mine. The first movie I received in the mail was The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I was not aware that this was based on an autobiographical book. Had I known that, I would've read the book first, assuming it's been translated to English. It was an AMAZING movie. It's about the former editor of French Elle magazine, Jean-Dominique Bauby, who suffered a massive stroke in 1995. After awaking from a three week long coma, he finds himself completely paralyzed from head to toe with a rare condition called locked in syndrome. Although he can't physically move, he is mentally aware, can see with one eye, and can hear. With the help of his speech pathologist, he can communicate with a system she devised - she reads a list of letters, and he blinks when he wants to choose a letter. When I mentioned the movie was based on a book - it was his book - he wrote the whole book communicating with one eye! I highly recommend it - even if you don't enjoy subtitles - give it a chance. It's a beautiful movie!
2. I went and saw Revolutionary Road last week. I won't give a thorough review, but it was a very good movie. I wish I would've read the book first, of course, but I couldn't wait to see the movie. Don't go unless you're in the mood to be depressed.
3. I eagerly, anxiously, excitedly, pee my pants, can NOT wait to see He's Just Not That Into You. I LOVED the book! I mean, I really loved the book - I still have post it notes I used as markers, as well as highlighted passages. I would read paragraphs to my friends over the phone as a means to dispose relationship advice. I would love to go opening night (tomorrow!), but I am patiently waiting until Monday to go with friends.
4. Concerning Christian Bale: I used to have such a massive crush on this man. Back when he was a boy, and was in Little Women. Then they made a movie out of a fantastic book - American Psycho - and Christian did such an amazing job in a weird, twisted role. But more recently, he's just freaking me out. The weird Batman voice... awkward, yes... but it could be overlooked. He's freaking Christian Bale. Still a hottie! Mom and sister pressing charges? Ummm... dude, WTF? NOW... you make a total ass of yourself by dropping the F bomb every five seconds, and screaming at a lighting guy on the set of your precious movie? Sorry, you've gone from one freaking hot actor dude to "I'd fear for my life if we were dating" kinda scary. If you don't know the most recent incident I'm referring to, you can EASILY find it online.
5. So apparently... some douche, I mean some dude in Florida was arrested for trying to get it on with his blow up dolls in a grocery store parking lot. Holy cow. I haven't watched the news in over a week, and this is what I get. Read the article at the link below. My favorite part is when he tells the cops he was on his way to get the dolls some clothes. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0205091doll1.html
I have nothing more to say. I mean, really... how do you follow a blow up doll story?

My inner Domestic Goddess has lust in her heart...
for this beauty...

I'm afraid my vacuum cleaner is on it's last leg. And this is what I want to replace it. The Dyson DC25 Animal. Who knew a vacuum cleaner could be so sleek and sexy? For only $549.99, it can be mine. On the bright side, Dyson does offer free shipping. Oh well, a girl can dream, right?
